THE GOOD LIFE

John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

The Apostle John had a unique revelation of what eternal life meant and gave elaborate teachings on the quality of this extraordinary life that we have in Christ as believers. In 1 John 5:11-12, he said, “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” How profound! Then, in Acts 5:20, we read something striking in The Message Translation about this life; it says, “Tell the people everything there is to say about this Life.”

God wants us to tell the people about this life because it is the good life. God made this incorruptible and indestructible life available to man through Christ Jesus, stating that whosoever believes in Him would have eternal life imparted to his spirit (John 3:16). It’s a life of power, righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.

God wants you to tell those who aren’t in Christ that there’s a life better than what they know and have; the good life in Christ Jesus! He wants you to become a channel of that life to those you encounter daily and show them the tremendous glory of the riches of His Kingdom.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the assurance I have through your Word of the glorious life I have in you; a life of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Thank you for the opportunity granted me to daily show forth the tremendous glory of your Kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
