WE ARE PARTAKERS OF GOD’S GLORY

John 17:22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one.

The Lord Jesus made a remarkable statement in His prayer to the Father, in the verse above, that He has given to us the glory, which the Father gave Him, that we might be one even as they are one. He confirmed in the next verse, “I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me” (John 17:23). This is so inspiring. He wants the world to know that the Father loves us as much as He loves Him.

In addition, we have also become partakers of the same glory the Father gave to Jesus. Hebrew 1:1-3 says, “God…Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds, who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person...” Jesus is the brightness of God’s glory; He’s the expression of the glory of God. God gave Him an excellent glory, which He in turn gave to us.

You may not have noticed that glory in your life but it’s there in your recreated human spirit. Isaiah 60:1 says, “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.” 2 Corinthians 3:18 says, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory...” As you recognize and meditate on the fact that you’re a carrier of the glory of God, you’re transformed from glory to glory.

The revelations communicated to us in the New Testament are the reflections of your identity in Christ. So keep looking into the mirror of God; as you do, you’ll be changed into the same image from glory to glory.

CONFESSION

I’m the express image of the Father’s person, and the out-shining of His glory because I’m a sharer of His life and nature of righteousness. I’m God’s perfection of beauty. The fullness of God, with the totality of His power dwelling in me, and I’m complete in Him. Hallelujah.
